The other night one of my favorite bands, The Magnetic Fields, played in LA. Stephin Merritt is one of the best songwriters ever. There are a lot of people who would agree with me, i’m not just saying that. If you don’t know who he is, google him. He’s fantastic with melodies, lyrics, and his songs are a great soundtrack to life..The show was at The Orpheum, which is gorgeous and was the perfect venue to host them.
My friend Melissa (aka sweet meliss) went with me and we had Hugo’s Tacos for dinner. Their soyrizo torta is the best thing on the menu, trust me. Your lips burn a bit and your hands get super sticky, but it’s SO worth it.
